Decent MP3 Player for this phone?

My girlfriend got me a 16gb MicroSD card for my phone, and since I have the first generation 2GB iPod, I decided to make use of the 3.5mm headphone jack and turn this into my iPod. All of my songs are m4a format. I've been using the Windows Media Player, but it seems like it takes a while to switch between songs. Does anyone have any ideas, or possibly another player? Thanks!

Re: Decent MP3 Player for this phone?

Ya WMP is painfully slow changing songs. I havnt found another player yet with a "Play All Songs" feature like WMP but it is ridiculously slow... I too have been wondering. Core Player is cool, but not when you have hundreds of songs. Kinoma once again is good but not the best when you have lots of songs...

I agree, I checked out the marketplace last night and didn't find anything, I'd love a quicker changing MP3 player.

Yeah, it's a pretty severe lag. It's not like changing a song on an iPod, it takes a few seconds.

How so? We're always looking to improve.

Have you tried (for example) filtering a list of a few thousands songs by typing a couple characters from the title you're looking for? It's pretty sick.

aw gosh i didnt mean to offend kinoma! Its a great program. I just had a hard time getting it specifically to pick a folder and just shuffle the songs in that folder without making playlists. Kinda just like a "two click" to "play all" feature, if im missing it please let me know, kinoma looks the prettiest of all for sure! also i had the trial? but im pretty sure it was full featured for a bit?

Re: Decent MP3 Player for this phone?

ya ive owned lots and lots of winmo phones and this media player on the intrepid is terrible, could there possibly be a registry tweak or something to help? i dont know but it seems if every other phone did not have this problem there should be a way around it, it cant be processor speed, no way!
