The only thing I don't like is not being able to charge while connected to USB, but with it coming with two batteries (standard and extended) and a car charger I don't really find myself without power very often.
I bought the charging cradle from verizon. It charges the phone and spare battery at the same time and it comes with a data cable for charging from and sync with desktop. I PAID $29 for it. I have a merit account with Verizon which allows me 25% off all accessories. Have a good day!

Got mine 10/29/2007

Coming from a XV6700, I must say this PPC is much better in person! The feel is great. It feels very sturdy and the front dial pad is a nice addition. I think I am going to keep it. I was able to load up all of my favorite programs and mods that I had on my XV6700. The only minor problems are the Multiple Bluetooth connection issues, the squishy screen and the fact that I had to hard reset it after I had all of my progs loaded because I wasn't able to receive MMS. I re-installed everything and it has been working great for the past 2 weeks.

How did you get the HTC Album to work as well as the Comm Manager? And what is the benefit of having the Sprint plugin on Verizon when things like Sprint TV won't work??

Actually the comm manager is not installed on my device. The HTC album is installed and working via cab installation on the devices memory. The sprint plugin launces "HTC Album" with the first button, The second button launches "HTC Action Screen" (like new Menu WM5) the third launches the "camera app" the fourth launches the "HTC Audio Manager" and the fifth launches the "Phone app". So all buttons are fully functional.

Finally got mine on Wednesday. So I've not had it a full day yet, it is an awkward relationship so far. I'm used to flip phones, practically no buttons on the outside, you can toss it around, shove it in any pocket, hold it how you want. Pretty tough.

So I get my i760 and when I first held it, it felt like holding a newborn baby, I was so afraid to do something wrong; squish the screen to hard, accidentally press a button somewhere, smudge the camera screen, etc... I'm trying to find out how to hold the thing right without pressing things wrong.
My very first call came in as I got in the car when leaving the Verizon store. I was talking along and lost the call cause my finger pressed the disconnect key when switching hands. Darn it!

Then today I got my case, a pretty generic holster type with magnetic flap over the top. So I grab the phone and shove it in there, only to accidentally start the camera app, flip the screen with the magnet and was like woops! Tried to pull it out but hit the off button on the top and turned it off. Sheesh. In other words, putting it in and out of the case I had to close like 4 programs that got started. So I remembered about locking the phone, I have to get used to locking it now, rather then just slamming shut my clamshell.
It's also longer to make a call now. Once it's locked and is gone to sleep, I can't just whip it out and start dialing (even though it has keypad), that doesn't make it much easier. I still have to unlock the phone and then I can dial. Which is longer than flipping up a clamshell.

So anyway, I'm not saying I don't like the phone, I'm just saying switching from clamshell to PDA-full-of-buttons is really strange.

Plus I'm still pissed that I'm going to have a $90 bill and still not get ANY SMS allowance. My Sprint bill was $35 and I had some SMS allowance. I've got to pay another $5 to get SMS.

So anyway, I hope I can get used to locking/unlocking, dodging buttons and not feeling like I'm holding a delicate piece of China. Plus using a holster and going in to close all the programs I accidentally opened while handling it.

Another thing is that I was playing until 2am last night trying to find and try out programs. And for some reason, most WM sites I found don't say what version of WM it works with. I have to download it, transfer it, and attempt to install only for it to say it was made for a different version or just plumb doesn't work. So one question is, where can I find a source for proggies only for WM6? Or least let's me filter by that so I don't have so much trial and error.

Lastly I don't know why the "X" button doesn't close things. After messing around I have to drill down through settings and memory and running apps to close all the stuff I don't want to run. Like even when I play a game and then close it, it still runs. So like, can you actually CLOSE programs? And when there ARE many programs running, how do you switch between them or see them? Is there minimize/maximize? Program switcher?

Hopeful people can console me and help me out. Again, I like the phone, it is just and odd relationship right now. And I am still debating switching to 6800 when it comes out or not. We'll see.

New member here and I have had the i760 for two weeks. It's my first converged phone and I love the blended tech.

Received mine on 12/11/2007. Anyone know if it supports USB Hosting and if there is an available USB Host Data cable?

I just replaced my pos treo700w with this one yesterday. I didn't like the 6800. Plus my gf said this one looked better. So far this is a nice device. The keyboard wants to slide out a little too easily though.
