How do you "keep" the backlight lit with Gmaps/Spirnt Navigaion

For some reason the Epic backlight turns off when using google maps/sprint navigation. On my TP2 pretty much any program using GPS would keep the back light lit till manual turned off by the user.

Right now I have the back light set at 30min just to have it lit while navigating.

I installed KeepScreen. What I'd like is a setting to not shut off the screen if plugged in.

Nice Jason, I can live it that and a thanks for the find

I wonder if it is a bug with android, now with google navigation the screen stays lit, just with maps/sprint nav it does not.

Thanks, I'll check that out too. Also new to Android. Doesn't make sense that this would be under development rather than the display settings. Most people would be too scared to even touch the development options. Although we, who use this forum, aren't scared of anything
