Divx but conditional Divx
Well I have looked and looked but despite having divx support I can not register my device with Divx Plus/pro. There just is no option so until that changes the purchased divx movies I already have can't be played on my Epic. Has anyone found anything about this? I don't care about the coming soon media hub which might be cool but if the player can play divx and the Galaxy series are on the Divx listed website then WTH?

Re: Divx but conditional Divx
Page 203 (from the index, but actually 217) of the pdf manual has instructions.

Re: Divx but conditional Divx
Glad that worked. I'm not very familiar with DivX licensing but that looked like what you were looking for. I saw that when I was waiting for the phone to release and they put up the manual. I couldn't get the phone yet, but I decided to read the manual, LOL. Guess it helps sometime.
Post what you thought of the video quality. I'm curious. Where did you get those movies from? Are they the digital copies that came on the Blu-Ray? Jason |

Re: Divx but conditional Divx
They are paid movies from 2 different services. I took advantage of some offer for something a while back and they each gave me a free downloaded movie. The quality is IMHO very good on the phone and look fine on my new optima pk-301 pico DLP when played in divx plus/pro player on PC.(same file)
The thing that sucks is I was going to buy the divx pro upgrade yesterday because they had the bundle on sale for 50% off but hesitated due to not seeing the phone option working. Once I got it all sorted out it was after midnight so the deal was over...ate 20 bucks on that one. I will have to edit with the names of the services so you guys can check it out. I think one just rents and the other rents and sells content. Ok Film Fresh and Roxio CinemaNow are the two DivX content provider services that I used. Last edited by fsp48; 09-02-2010 at 05:19 PM.
