This is a great point. It makes no sense that we can't do that and hopefully it will be returned to our SW with Froyo.

Samsung/Sprint - don't assume you know what I want to have there...

After a little research over at XDA - it turns out that the Epic doesn't have that feature (and a few other features, mostly widgets) because the TouchWiz on the Epic is 2.5, and not 3.0.

Samsung/Sprint were having trouble with the landscape versions of some TW3 features so they didn't go with 3.0 on the Epic. I don't know what that means going forward, but maybe since they were so far behind on the release of the Epic, that they scrapped 3.0 on Android 2.1 for the Epic and went straight to Froyo.

I'll also speculate that we'll see Froyo on the other Galaxy S variants before we see it on the Epic, but I have ABSOLUTELY no evidence to back that up. Just a hunch.

Re: Touch Wizv3

I'm not waiting for Samsung to put out the "official" update to Froyo. Come on people, lets get in the kitchen and get to cooking up a stable 2.2 ROM for this bad boy.
