Had to buy two 50 dollar gift cards, which will be counted toward the phones on the 31st.

anyone else think that 249.99 after all the garbage rebate crap is still on the expensive side? I mean whoa, where's are 199.99!!!
Not that it will deter me from getting it if I decide to get it

Well, the Evo is $199.99...

Epic has physical keyboard, better screen, better CPU, better GPU, better memory, better camera, and ships with a 16GB MicroSD card (Evo comes with 8GB)

For most, all that pretty much justifies the extra $50.

is it just my fuzzy memory, or was it 449. for the tp1 and had to wait for the 100 rebate for a total of 349.99 i dont think 249 is that bad at all.

Physical keyboard, yes... the Hero and Moment were the same price though and the Moment has a better processor and physical keyboard

Is the Hummingbird 1GB processor a better than the Snapdragon 1GB processor? I have no idea...

Better camera? HTC has 8 megapixal, Epic 5 megapixal

I guess you mean better screen because of the Super AMOLED right? I'll agree with you on that even if the physical size is a tad bit smaller

The 16GB stick is a good thing too, might be paying the extra for that alone..

Here's the comparison

Yes the CPU is like 2x better then the snapdragon...and that CPU alone..the GPU is 3-4x better..not to mention the community got a working overclock of 1.6ghz for the hummingbird...

again more megapixels != better quality..the sensor in the Epic is better...and the videos are a lot better too...

----------------

There are other things as well..like the Epic has a 6 axis-gyroscope...and we are not sure but its possible it has Bluetooth 3.0..

As gTen stated, it is. Some of the guys over at XDA have already safely overclocked it to 1.2Ghz and stated that they see no reason why it couldn't be safely run at 1.6Ghz. It's a more efficient CPU as well which will help battery life.

Indeed, but megapixel doesn't equal quality directly. The Epic camera can do 720p video at 30fps, the Evo does 720p video at 25fps. Look at a bunch of Youtube vids taken from Evo's and then some from Galaxy S Series phones. It's noticeable.

Yep. That's why I said "better" not "bigger". The Super AMOLED is a higher quality screen, consumes less power, runs the same resolution as the Evo, and has a higher pixels per inch ratio.

Specs I've seen claimed the Epic as having a 232 pixel per inch ratio, Evo 217.

Of course the iPhone comes in as the winner at 326 pixels per inch.
