802.11 is pretty much wifi..but there are revisions of it..being 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, and 802.11n

Each revision brings more speed and other factors to the table...802.11b is 11mbps, 802.11g is 54mbps(sams as 802.11a but it operates in 5ghz band), and 802.11n is 150mbps (depending on MIMO it can go up to 300-600mbps..and can operate in both 2.4ghz and 5ghz band...it also has farther range then the others)

okaay... makes sense... what b/g?

Checked out this vid, its from Aug 5... pretty old compared to a lot of the reviews currently out... I think the one from Noah @ phonedog is actually much more recent.

nvm the question... i feel like a dumb ass 802.11 a /b/g ... duuuhhh lol!
time for bed...lol

Re: new epic pics & video

What I don't like is that with my TP2, I have SenseUI... something that I've loathed due to speed, but like the fact that I get a well made and integrated home screen that gives me the weather, time, and other info in a nice screen. This looks less polished. like "here's a bunch of crap, have fun"

Re: new epic pics & video

had epic in my hands friday for 2hrs and im not a droid or samsung fan but this phone is worth a 30dy try at least. the hummingbird speeds are faster than my evo i had plus i wasnt on 4g when i played with it but its a really nice looking and feeling(in hand) screen is so clear looking even outside in the sun i had no issues. ca mera took nice pictures but evo was little better but not a issue for me.

Yes...come to the Epic side *evil grin* lol...though from what people are saying the image quality is better then that..you just gotta configure it manually for better results...also some people said that the pics are compressed by the software...so if you use another camera software for the pics the quality is A LOT better.

Oh by the way I heard a rumor people saying that it might be using TouchWiz 2.5 and not 3.0..can you confirm this or didn't get a chance to see?

that translates into not an integrated/nice presentation. I've been playing with android and widgets on the tp2 for a while now and for as much as senseui sucks, there isn't anything besides senseui that looks as good and has as my stuff in one brief page.

Re: new epic pics & video

Sense UI is complete and total bloatware....it lags and IMO Launcher Pro is a lot better and more responsive.

Re: new epic pics & video

in the touch pro2 vs Epic details its shows that the Epic comes with TouchWiz 3.0
Unless im missing something but ive seen 3.0 in youtube videos whats on the epic sure isnt 3.0 maybe 2.5 but not 3.0 Why does it state that? Is there something im supposed to click on to make it 3.0?
