can you turn off individual radios???

Ok, so being in the service I would like to take my phone over seas but I don't want to pay the outragous cost that $print would charge me to use it while over there. I know that there are ways to turn off the individual radios on the HTC Evo, but I have yet to find a way to turn off the individual radios on the ET4G. Does ANYONE have an app/ way that will allow me to turn off the phone radio but still let me use the WiFi and Bluetooth so that I may be able to stay in contact with friends and family via skype? I have already looked for a airplane app that will do it, and I have not found any.
