WM 6.5 is Official.....Yet not available

anyone else notice sprint changed their website (support section where roms r usually posted) they think they r making things easier but its worse.

does anyone know where on sprints website the new 6.5 ROM will be posted?

once the unlocker is out i wont be running stock rom anyways but sprint actually made it easier by adding the update firmware button in settings. so basically you can update to official releases ota. its right next to the update profile and prl icons.

sorry I really am being the grinch today.

The update button in settings on the device is for future use for minor .cab type updates to be installed, not major ROM upgrades. To do the WM6.5 upgrade you need to "flash" the ROM. This done by downloading a ROM onto your desktop, which includes the software to flash the ROM onto the device. It's a few simple button clicks accompanied by holding one's breath and crossing fingers.

Is there a risk ? should we make a backup before ? Should we remove all the tweeks that we've done ? Should we de a hard reset before ?

I knew I shouldn't have said that........With every ROM flash there is a very remote chance of a glitch....nothing your friends here at PPC geeks can't work out. After doing dozens of flashes over the years and reading about millions of others, it is extremely rare....not to worry.

Thank you. But do you think it will still be possible to download the actual file from their website? (old school)
