Moving shortcuts during first boot

Ok i cooked my first rom went well no major problem but now im lookign to refine it. In my start menu it is a chaotic mess icons everywere im looking for a way to sort the icons and folders durring first boot... what is the easyest way of doing this.

Best way is to sort the start menu in the kitchen and edit the initflashfiles.dat in oem_land_0409 to remove the entries that contain start menu shortcuts. this way you can use an app.dat of your own to lay out your start menu. I attached the EXT I use in my kitchen to lay out my start menu, create folders and set icons. Mightymike showed me the reg layout and I just ran with it. original thanks to him
