How do you assign ring tones?

After I download a ring tone how do I assign it to a particular caller. I've tried moving the ring tones to windows / ringers, tried copy & paste to a specific callers profile & nothing... This was never so hard........

well

Well what kind of ppc do you have? I know you can, on the treo, go to your contacts, select edit on which contact you are assigning a ringtone to, go down to the ringtone folder and select it. Hope this helps

I have the PPC6800 Mogul... The problem is the ringtones I downloaded arent in the list of ringtones. Even If I assign to the ringtone or ringers folder they still don't show up in the list when I try to assign them. I know it can be done because I did it by accident but I have no idea what I did.
