WP-Activate reads the plugin layout file and finds all of the "clickable" stuff on it. Then it sends a mouse click to the WP plugin on the the top-left-most item that it finds. On your theme, that item is opening the WP details, which shows those dumb buttons. And obviously, there's something weird about that icon being there.

I don't suppose you'd want to try PhatPhinger IV - I took care to make sure it's nearly impossible to open the WP details. Probably not, as I figure you're running your own customized version.

What I did was lay a window over the the big icons and text that opens the current conditions window, like this:

Code:
;WINDOW-0
0,0,W-45,H-55
#VOID#
popup-forecast.wpx
0,26,240,294
POPUP
In this case, the window is covering the entire area from the left side of the screen up to the start button, and from the top of the layout down to the top of the forecast section.

Does Mobile Shell allow for a small icon with the current temp in it? Something like the attached. If so, can you add it to the choices?

Again, thanks.

=Bob=
Yes, that would be very easy. On thing though, I'm not sure I can do the black box behind the text.

I'll check out PhatPhinger IV. Can you give me a link?

Yes, I really didn't expect a black box. Just a lazy cut/paste on my part.

You can find a link to PhatPhinger IV (and more) in the WeatherPanel download index

I'll work on the widget...

Re: [Mobile Shell 3.0 Widget] WeatherPanel (with current conditions)

Something not right on the Omnia. Installed the WQVGA file and the Activate file. Ran the inject widget per instructions, but it hangs on "Select" when selecting Widgets.xml. If I push "Select" it moves on. Then hangs while trying to write the "temp" file. A big part of the issue on my phone is that it's adding several spaces at the end of folders that are being created, so instead of "temp", it making a file called "temp______".

Puzzled.

Also creates a ~qa_layouts.zip_________

I can get past a few hangups if I copy and past qa layouts, widgets and agenda xml files while the script is running into both "temp" and "temp_______" but eventually it fails at not being able to find ~qa_layouts.zip...not sure why.

Both WP and Activate are installed in device memory.

Re: [Mobile Shell 3.0 Widget] WeatherPanel (with current conditions)

rwcj63,
I have original Windows 6 Pro; already had Weather Panel with PhatFinger skin running on Today Screen. Installed Mobile Shell 3.01 - then installed Storyr WP Widget cab. Then on Lifestyle screen, picked "add widget", went down the list and Weather Panel (3 options) were available. Everything worked...for which I am very happy.

Good luck

Weird. I'll research this and get back. I sounds like a text encoding issue or something...

Well to be honest I couldn't figure out how to turn off touch flo

I just literally changed the code in the mscr manually hit exit at one point and it worked.
