Re: [Mobile Shell 3.0 Widget] WeatherPanel (with current conditions)

One thing I noticed about WeatherPanel is that it may have issues (such as running constantly and causing the phone to get hot) if ActiveSync is configured with an Exchange server with "as items arrive" - in combination with low-service areas. I changed my email schedule to "every 5 minutes", and I haven't had the problem since - nor do I have battery issues. |

Re: [Mobile Shell 3.0 Widget] WeatherPanel (with current conditions)
UPDATE
I've updated the first post with a new CAB. This version has a new "compact" layout (for Bob) and some improvements to the injection process (much less work to do). If you don't care about the new layout, no need to update. Note: This update will probably whack your existing WeatherPanel widgets, so you'll need to re-add them. ![]() |

lol, round arrow thingy. i installed a new theme and after you do so, you have to inject the app again, not a big deal, just thought i would let people know.

In this new version, I figured out how to place all of the widgets into their own standalone xml file (WpWidgets.xml). So, if you're only replacing the Widgets.xml (in qa_layouts.dat), you won't have to re-inject. |

Re: [Mobile Shell 3.0 Widget] WeatherPanel (with current conditions)
Still a no go on my Omnia. Gets stuck at line 120 - can't find ~qa_layouts.zip even though I see it in total commander. The zip to function is adding lots of spaces to the end of the layouts.zip________.
Would it be possible to get manual instructions? |

Have to say great work. But I have one question, how did you get the widget on the professional screen. Would like to put there instead of the default one that came with spb shell
