It should just overwrite the originals. I was more detailed on fixing more of the manila files.

I must of picked the wrong cab to upload here. I am at work but will have it fixed soon enough again thanks for the feedback.

Thank you and yes I am making some progress. I have never used the cfc editor but im messing with it now. I took the 4a087e41_manila and click "replace with" and select my .png file. Not sure if it matters but it is 480x640.

After that goes through i then see the picture when I select the 4a087e41_manila. I tried the "to device" button and it fails to export and then i try to put it on my phone and paste it into the "windows" folder. that ask if i'm sure if I want to and then says it cannot copy and access denied?

EDIT: Alright I've gotten a little farther hah. I now have total commander and it seems i can now replace the manila file but the backgrounds are just all white

The image dimensions have to be the same so you need to crop to 512x512. You also need to compress or not compress based on whether the theme you're using is compressed (I think NOT is the choice for s2w.)

Finally, the to device is a great option be sure you're connected with USB via active sync mode not diskdrive mode and you should be good to transfer, but as you've discovered, total commander can do the job. Always turn off tf3d in your start/system/today/items area... or use the 'to device' method which automatically cycles tf3d when installing changed manila files.

I am glad you are making progress. The best way to do the edit is to stick with the correct size of the original image.. When you see a white bg it only means you surp***** the parameters of the image. For example if the size is 64x64 stay within it.

Yes use total commander it is what I use. You edit your image on your PC copy it to your device and within TC you just move and overwrite. when that is done go to settings -> today and in items uncheck TFLO and x out and enter items again and recheck TFLO... that should work.
