download both task bars and install v4...copy the spearker icons file and then install v5 and place the file from v4 into the \windows folder...it will ask you if you want to overwrite press yes...soft reset and you should be good

totally not a stupid question hahaha i had to check myself lol....now what you need to do is follow the steps like your creating your own start icon but instead your going to extract taskbar v4 and v5 and then unsugn then....then goin into the phcanover.bmp.dll file and copy the files list below....and then you are going to past them into the taskbar v5 phcanover.bmp.dll

in the phcanover.bmp.dll
160 is sound on
161 is vibrate
162 is mute


if you cant figure it out or need help i will attempt to do it for you....im t work though so if it gets busy i wont be able to get much done...just let me know if you get stuck thoguh

Hey All! - Fantastic work on the Taskbar everyone!!

I just got my HTC Touch HD in the UK and could do with a little help...been searching this post to see if the tsowentaskbar4 is readily compatible with my Touch HD?

Could someone please help?

If it is, am I right that to install tsowentaskbar4v1.6, I follow these steps:

1. sdkcerts.cab
2. tsowentaskbar4v1.6
3. nuePowerDriverCDMADiamond-100-v1.0-cab.cab

The last cab seems to be designed for a CDMA Diamond - I have an HD that works on GSM/CDMA, will everything work fine.

Hi,

I'm also a UK HD user and can confirm that yes, all of the taskbars work (i prefer tsowenstaskbar3v1.4!) on a GSM Touch HD. You do not need the 3rd cab in your list as i believe that it is only for CDMA phones. Also, you will notice that there is a CDMA_RSSI_PPC.dll in all of these taskbars (contains the network/signal strength icons), BUT THESE DO NOT WORK IN A GSM PHONE. Sorry to shout but soooo many people still ask 'why can't i change the colour/style/shape of my network icons'!!! The dll for these icons is still to be found on a GSM phone, so until then, we can do nothing.

Some roms already have the sdkcerts.cab built in (kwbr/panosha to name but a couple), so you would not need to install that either.

Any questions, give me a shout. I've already modded my taskbar to suit my needs (and likes), getting quite good at it if i say so myself - but never will i reach the heights of the gods/goddesses of taskbar creation in this thread. Hats off to you all.=D>

Can't wait to see the new taskbar, and also the finishing up of the older variants as well.

For you no need for the nuePowerDriver but other than that, you have the steps correct. Everything should work for the most part. I have asked a few HD users to pass me there files but I still don't have them. In my past taskbar's all icons have worked for the most part on HD's so we will keep our fingers crossed. This taskbar we covered extra good even for the GSM side of the house and I believe GSM folks will be a little suprised as to how well these icons will be. Everything is done for the most part just need to wait on HTCLeener for the preview page and get with gadgetfreak for a last minute fix on the LargeTitleBar.dll and thats it. Been a month in the works but it is almost finally here!
