Well I am sad to say that this did not correct the problem for me. The icons came out distorted still. I cannot upload images today but gonna have to just remove it for now.

I'm starting to think that there is a limit to the color depth and bit size that is causing these problems. It wasn't noticible on a QVGA device, but the higher res VGA devices just don't seem to like the colored, hi-res icons much. I've removed transparency and all other effects. All that is left is the Bit size (currently 32) and color depth (millions) I don't know if I'll have time to get to that, so if some one with PS or The GIMP would like to go in and reduce those parameters for each Icon, I can get these loaded back into the dll. Please PM me if you would like to have a crack at this.

@ dextertan - personally I use Resco Explorer 2008, just navigate to the dll, tap and hold, and select copy to /windows :D

Lets say i want to get a backup copy of my orginal .dll files how do i do that i cant copy the file out from TC.

Elite TB 6 v3 QVGA Conversion Beta 2

Here are 2 more cabs. The first one only has the fixes on the over sized icons for messanging and call history. The second has that fix, plus a different phcanOverbmp.dll with a more QVGA friendly battery, and the HTC Start Icon. Let me know what you thing

Instead of having 2 cabs installed it installed the 2nd cab and it looks great. I did notice that the edge networking connecting had a black background around it. I would not have noticed it with a black start bar but mine is blue so it stuck out, is that the way it is supposed to be? Just making sure. other then that it looks great, battery and all

I'll have to go back and check that icon, but yes, it probably does have a black background. (I'm assuming you mean the 1x icon...). What phone and carrier are you using, if you don't mind me asking?

The E with the circle around it. I am using the tilt with GCI in alaska
