Re: Diamondish Dialer skins for CDMA and GSM Touch Dialers

Yes me to. try this. This is from c@rL0$;

Try copying the images that are in the ZIP file from which I uploaded into the \windows directory or wherever the dialer images were saved to.

And then soft reset.

If you don't like the grid progress page and want something else, then this is for you.

It might not be much, but it's something different.

Each ZIP file has a folder with the images for the progress pages.

Unzip the ZIP file. Then copy the images over to your \Windows Directory or where ever the phone images are being saved on your phone.

And follow that by a soft reset.

Before you installed any of our dialers did you remove any other custom dialer other then the ones we provided?

If you didn't and then tried to remove it after installing one of our custom dialers, you get that error. The reason is that it cannot find the files to remove because they might have been over written or deleted by the custom dialer you uninstalled.

What I did to fix an issue like this in the past is :

Close out all programs.
Reinstall the program that you cannot properly uninstall.
Chose to over write the original program / dialer.
Once this process is completed, soft reset.

Then uninstall, soft reset, and install another dialer.

Re: Diamondish Dialer skins for CDMA and GSM Touch Dialers

the only custom dialer i had before was another version of one of your dialers.. just a different color one

i tried your method.. closed all programs... tried to install the one that i was having trble uninstalling... i ran cab and it says that install was unsuccessful...

i went to remove programs and i see
both of the superflysocal and carlos diamond dialers there.... one starts with super and the other starts with carlos..

if i try to remove it says the dialer was not completely removed.. do u want to remove it from the list of installed programs... i hit yes...

and it is still there.... issue is happening when trying to uninstall either one of the two...

i went into registry editor and hkey_local_machine... software and saw both of the programs .. i removed ... but i still see in uninstall program.. maybe this was a mistake

what programs are installed when i run the cab ... how can i manually go into the phone and remove all the files and registry links manually and start from scratch

is there a way to load phone in like safe mode... that way the files dont run on startup and i can remove ... i am at a lose here

files i am dealing with
diamondish white dialerv3.41
was trying to replace with
diamondish whitegreen dialerv3[1].32

thanks for your help with this

I'll look more into this.

I usually just install the program over the original one and it reinstalls the files that were not found when I tried uninstalling it.

so if you installed 3.41 and had issues uninstalling it because the files were deleted or moved. Then try installing 3.41 again to replace those files and then uninstall it properly.

Re: Diamondish Dialer skins for CDMA and GSM Touch Dialers

i have tried to reinstall both skins and no matter which one i try it says that thhe previuos one will be uninstalled first, i say ok ..then i get error that it was unable to be removed, do u want to install anyway, i say ok,.the cab file runs...looks like it is installing, then i get an error that it was unsuccesful.....is there no wat to manually go into dvice to remove?

i went into HK LOCAL MACHINE\software/apps

i see both of the dialers in there but i do not see an installdir , i scanned through other apps and they all have an installdir in details, can u look at yours n tell me what to data fill it with, maybe that is why it cant be found to uninstall ? does yours show install directory just to be /windows/ ???
