s2w HTC blackdrop theme - Page 21

OK, I figured out my problem. I was making a stupid mistake. Trying to load the HTC Backdrop icons in the Weather folder instead of the Icons folder. Fixed that issue. Not getting that error anymore.

Now I can't get the HTC Home plugin to display. I will have to re-read the thread tomorrow to see if I can find a solution.

Also, was it mentioned earlier on how to get rid of the bottom bar? I thought there was an exe to get rid of it. What if you want it back? Thanks for the help.

hi.....i was just wondering. how would i start the process of adding a flash player to my phone to be able to go to you tube. and how would i change my theme to one of those cool themes everyone has. thanks. i have a 6800 by the way.

once again simple steps bro to get it working for you

1 go to settings/today, uncheck UL and check HTC home on your today (PRESS OK TO MAKE THE CHANGES EFFECTIVE)
2 check your today screen to see if you have HTC home active but not within UL (ok now you can change the settings)
3 go back to settings/today and in the HTC home section (not the today checklist, check the bottom and you will find a slab that says HTC home) and uncheck everything exept the weather tab and press ok
4 check your today screen and see if the changes you made took effect
5 if they did, then go back to settings/today and uncheck HTC home and once again check UL
6 those changes should have taken effect in the HTC home within UL

OK, Mike20pr and S2W,

I am having the exact same problem the dawishmaker had in post 120 in this thread. I cannot get the stupid Today Plugin to work/display correctly in UL. It never displays the weather, it always displays the stupid clock from the HTC Home. I have messed with settings every which way...tried making changes that you suggest. I think the problem lies with HHC but I am not sure. I have everything inactivated but the weather tab, but yet if I go back to just a normal HTC Home screen, all the tabs work...even when marked inactive???

I also don't understand what is being discusse in step 3 above. There is no additional slab for HTC Home that lets me check and uncheck...looked for this thoroughly...I really like this theme and want to use, but after spending 8 hours trying to get it to work over the last two days...I am about to throw my phone out a window!!!

Also, I have the 6.1 ROM...I know that HHC has not always played nicely with this rom...two associated plugins have locked up my phone and resulted in me having to do a hard reset. Not sure if it is related?

Any help would be so appreciated. Thanks.

HHC without the clock what you have to do is...

If you only want weather displayed on the HHC

Then go to (Tabs) and make everything inactive on the list except for weather that stays active and save.

Third -> Go back to the today settings and check back UL from the list.

With the lower tabs on HHC

I really appreciate the help....but I cannot get it to work. I did everything you said...probably 10 times. Doesn't work...still same stupid clock?

It has to be HHC or the HHC plugin that is giving me the problem....everything else works fine, but HHC...even when I use HHC alone on my home screen and deactive all but the weather tab. I see all tabs and can view all tabs on the home screen. Frustrating! I guess I am going to see if the developer of HHC has made a different version of HHC plugin and HHC. Because the plugin has locked up my phone twice, I got a different HHC plugin off this site....not sure if there is something different about it?

Everything else works great....if I could just figure out this problem???

Two other quick questions...as if the first problem isn't big enough

1. dciNoBar.exe in your other thread...when you put it in your Startup, does it hide the bottom bar forever....or does it reappear if I remove it from the startup menu and restart my phone?
2. The email icon...does not go directly into the email inbox. Anyway to fix this?

Stop the presses!!! I finally got it to work!!! WOO HOO!!!

This is what I did. I was having problems finding the right plugin for HHC. The V2.1 plugin would lock up my phone and result in a hard reset...which sucked! I went to Emuntz website (HHC creator) and found this thread that discussed how to get a plugin that worked with the new 6.1 ROM for the Touch. After installing the plugin...my Touch didn't lock up and included the HTC Home Tab on the Settings/Today screen....which I was previously missing. Go to the link below for more information and plugin. Tried to attach the plugin, but couldn't.

Still couple quick questions

1. dciNoBar.exe in your other thread...when you put it in your Startup, does it hide the bottom bar forever....or does it reappear if I remove it from the startup menu and restart my phone?
2. The email icon...does not go directly into the email inbox. Anyway to fix this?
3. When I change the background from the supplied blackdrop bg...I lose the icons from rltoday. How can i change the background and not lose the icons?

Hey S2W back again, thanks for the model picture i cant keep my eyes off her...i have a issue i would like your help...picture below i want it to show the taps like yours weather, launcher, profile so on...i went into Today and click on all of them but only HTC weather shows up and no taps on the bottom as picture...can you please help me out...also is it possible for you to create a UL Tweak for blackdrop just like u did for Lucid...thanks in advance

Does anyone have path for opening Missed Calls directly. When I click on the icon it just opens the phone application. I know its possible because my HTC Home would go directly to missed calls. I just don't know the path to edit the skin file.
