thanks for that, would those commands just give tell me if there's a signal or the difference between the two. basically there are a few icons on the standard top bar, including no signal, G for gprs, U for umts (3G) I wanted to know if i could get image to change from indicating G to U as the signal changes, I'm not bothered about the no signal so much it's just having a large clear indication between the two data signals.
