Just out of curiousity, did you have to completely redo the entire theme to get it to work with the beta version? How difficult was it?

I had been using this theme on my 6700 for months with no problems and just got a mogul so I'm now using it on that as well. Definately runs a heck of a lot faster than on the 6700.

Just curious.... I'm not so inclined to move but I like tinkering with things...

Thanks.

You will need to completely redo the theme for the new beta version of WAD. They have made it somewhat simpler though.

Re: iPhone Theme by Torx-Tevelopment

okay guys quick question here. I have finally decided to use torx's iphone theme. Do i need to download all 5 zip folders on the first page, or are they mirrors of the same program. What is the beta version you all are recently talking about? and the apps you have to buy, its just the 3 apps (wisebar and clock) with the iphone theme, would there be anything else needed to be bought or downloaded....sorry for the newbie question just want to do this right and corrrect.

Re: iPhone Theme by Torx-Tevelopment

Anybody...... I need help. I can't seem to get my theme to load under the WAD themes section. I copied and pasted it to the folder and it still won't show up. Am I doing something wrong?

Re: iPhone Theme by Torx-Tevelopment

Hi guys,

I'm really really sorry to bother you.

i hope you can help me.
Want to install the Torx Iphone theme to my htc touch.
Everything does work with the readme.txt until i come to the following point:

4) Copy all or your preferred WAD iPhone Portrait and Landscape theme folder(s) to *root*/Themes/Desktop

I do this - but then afterwards where I have to choose the skin nothing comes up. In the WAD Theme Manager under import i point to the directory (*root*/Themes/Desktop/iPhone_Glass_Apple_Portrait_v0.5)
and then the error message comes that the folder does not contain a valid theme.

???

What am I doing wrong?

Could you please help me with this?

They're not mirrors, rather different versions of the same program. v 0.4 is my favorite, but if you like glassy themes, v 0.5 works nicely.

WisBar Advance Desktop 2 (public beta) has just been released. http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/for...ad.php?t=12740
It is so much more cooler in its features, but is very early in its implementation, and is being intensely tested out. It's not for the faint of heart, and if you feel that you're new to this, your safe bet would be to stick with 1.x, at least for now.

It's Wisbar! To just get this up and running, Wisbar Advance 3, Wisbar Desktop, and Marsware Weatherpanel will suffice. If I were you, I would invest into others including but not limited to BackUp, SMS-Chat (Vito-Technology), Fun Contacts (Vito-Technology), etc.. They make your experience even better than the average iphone user.

See point 2 under Torx's installation readme.
Install WAD first, and THEN Wisbar Advance 3. Currently a bug issue with theme selection is present if installed backwards in the "traditional way".

Re: iPhone Theme by Torx-Tevelopment

strange....I did it this way round....first WAD then Wisbar.
So I try it again.

ok...tried and found out that as long as the Wisbar ist NOT installed I can choose the themes - as soon as I install the wisbar AFTER WAD I cannot choose any themes anymore.
Strangly enough the theme I chose before is still active....

Any idea?

Re: iPhone Theme by Torx-Tevelopment

I had the same problem I contacted LikeRidge Software and this is what he said:
Quote:
Did you recently install WisBar Advance 3.1.0.7? If so, I apparently broke the Theme Manager for WAD 1.x themes. It's now searching for 2.x themes. I'll be posting a release on Friday that fixes that.

Re: iPhone Theme by Torx-Tevelopment

Hey apsentcom, thanks for your advice. I am okay with the contact and sms texting programs already on the phone, so i would just need to buy and download those 3 programs you mentioned, correct? Also, if i went with Version 5 i just follow the "read-me" that came with it correct? D@mn, i am so wanting to install this already lol.
