Hey guys whats an accelerometer???
i hear ppl talk about it .. i tryed to google it .. not getting a stright answer .. is there a download or a link... thanks !

Well, an accelerometer is something that enables your device to rotate from portrait to landscape mode on certain programs (i.e. - Opera Browser for example), and on some certain devices that come with it like the Omnia, it rotates the home screen and everything else without the use of a keuboard.

No, the Touch doesn't have an Accelerometer, devices like the Touch Diamond, Touch Pro, and Samsung Omnia have it for example. And there are download links to Accelerometer-based software.

i am sorry please forgive .. i have an htc touch pro... also one more quick question i am on the EA .. games web site ... just for mobile phones .. if i choose to buy a game that works on the ipod touch/ iphone would it work on my htc touch pro ??

no, because the iPod & and the iPod touch are a different platform, hardware and lower res then the Pro. Although, the res doesn't have as much to do with it as the hardware does. If your looking for games to use with accelerometer try this site http://wmpoweruser.com/?tag=accelerometer-game

An accelerometer is a small device that measures changes in speed or direction. They are found in cars, (think airbag deployment), hard drives, even the new ipod nano has them.
