Omnia II vs. Imagio

Hey, folks. I hope all is well with you and yours.

I ave had my Verizon version Imagio for 5 days now and I have installed what seems to be a plethora of tweaks to make it work the way I want (better landscape support, keeping off while in the back pocket - still testing to see if it turns on but the hack turns it back off; could have battery implications).

Now here comes the Omnia II. I just came from the Omnia. I could care less about international support, don't care about the interface since I love the SPB Mobile Shell product. How would you stack the Omnia II versus the Imagio. The O2 comes with 8GB built-in and you can add another 16GB. And, it has buttons!

Any thoughts?

Re: Omnia II vs. Imagio

I read a few reviews on the O2 and they said the only thing that makes it better than the original was the screen and facelift. They also said that the gps had not improved much. I had an Omnia 1 for a year or so and HATED the internal gps. It would take 2-5 minutes to lock under clear sky. My TP2 locks anywhere inside or out in less than 10 seconds. I'm sure the Imagio is no different.
Another thing is the lack of a optical d-pad/mouse. That was one of the best things on the O1. The O2 has a button instead. The on-board memory is a nice feature, but I will never need more room than my card will hold.
In my opinion, the Omnia 1 left such a bad impression on me, I'm not sure I'll ever buy another Samsung phone. The junky gps kills it for me.
