It will. It is just a question of time. Almost the entire world supports GSM while only the US and a couple of other countries support CDMA. After that it is simple economics as to who gets it first. The TP2 has been out in Europe for a while.

Besides, it will take Verizon a few extra months to figure out how to hobble the phone.

Re: Touch Pro vs. Touch Pro2 picture

The CDMA version will have global roaming GSM but that does not mean that it will work on US GSM carriers.

Re: Touch Pro vs. Touch Pro2 picture

Does anybody know when the TP2 will be released by ATT? (I don't want a euro version because it wouldn't support NA HSPA frequencies.)

Isn't the support for NA HSPA frequencies a ROM based thing? If I am right, you can buy now and flash later. This seemed to work on my Diamond2. As of right now, there is no HARDSPL for the TP2 that I know of, so there are no cooks.

Re: Touch Pro vs. Touch Pro2 picture

I believe it depends on the radio and the rom. If my memory serves me correctly there was a device that did not have the us 3g bands (I think HD) but were later working thanks to the guys at xda. However there have been other devices that they were not successful in the same way although they hoped they would.

Cool Re: Touch Pro vs. Touch Pro2 picture

Back to the phones. I have a TPro now but after getting use to FingerKeybord2 and the fact that both have an sd slot. It came down to flash. if TPro2 had a flash for the camera i would have been all about it, as it stands.

Diamond2_____________TouchPro2
SD slot_______________SD slot
half the thickness______Keyboard...
5mp camera___________3.2mp Camera

Diamond2 all the way.
