Blackberry made the storm to try and eat into the WinMo and iPhone marketshare. It was not made to target blackberry users but to draw in users of other phones. Take away a diehard BB users trackball and they are lost! LOL

Actually when I looked at it I kind of thought the idea of a clickable screen was a good idea. Just not sure their implementation of it was done well.
Think about all the other touch screen phones out there...What is the biggest issue we all have with them?

A: you are trying to scroll through contacts or menus and you accidentally select something by mistake! With a clickable screen you KNOW when your selecting something.

So they have the right idea...just didn't come up with a good implementation of it.

Blackberry abandoned just about every aspect that drew thier core users with the Storm. Touchscreen, no trackball, no keyboard.
I told every Curve user in my company who toyed with the idea of getting the storm that they would hate it!
They all finally listen to me now so Thanks Blackberry! LOL
