Tilt Screen

I've been looking around some buy or sell forums and a phone caught my eye(HTC Tilt). I love how the screen tilts. Has anyone had this tilt and the touch pro? Is there anyway to get the touch pros screen to tilt like that? Maybe take the parts that "tilts" and maybe customize it to work with the pro?

Have you heard of the Touch Pro 2? It's supposed to be coming to Sprint later this year I think. It tilts up just like the HTC Tilt.

The tilt screen is somewhat of a gimmick, it looks "cool" like a little laptop, but I find I hand-hold/thumb type most of the time anyway. No way you can "make" a TP screen tilt, unless you break it

The TP2 indeed does use the tilt style again. Wonder why they didn't use it for the first gen TP?

I have heard of the Touch Pro 2 but I do not think I will be going to that. I paided a butt load for my pro and all the pro 2 has over it is a tilt screen. Plus the pro 2 doesn't have a memory slot! Does anyone have pics of the tilt and what parts make it do so?

Well, people bought the TP. They probably could make an assumption that the TP was going to sell well. So why pull out all the tricks from the bag, when you can save them later for the second gen TP? Gives another reason for people to switch to something newer.

And someone said later "why would anyone switch to the TP2 when they paid alot for the TP?"
Well, many people like the newest and badest of whatever out there. Can't blame them if it's their thing. Don't fear being left in the dust. It's gonna happen one way or another. (I'll be dragging a TP two years from now and no one will know what it is anymore).

Why wouldnt the tp2 have a memory card slot?

the tp2 has more than just a tilt difference. Higher resolutions screen, .8" larger screen, the keyboard looks phenomenal cuz the keys are larger and separated, making it MUCH easier to type even faster! Also, it has the newest processor, the 7600... In reality, its more like the Touch HD 2 cuz its much more similar to that phone but with a keyboard.

to tell you the truth, i would hold off on the tp2 aswell, unless money isn't an issue ever, cuz i remember reading that HTC is making the switch from Qualcomm to NVIDIA for their processors. Don't know what that is? Youtube "NVIDIA Tegra 650" That will show you the power of their new chip.

These current phone will ABSOLUTELY be "left in the dust"(karate134) VERY soon.

Any personal predictions when the TP gets left in the dust?

lol yeah, I've been layin off ppcgeeks and consentrating more on my gf and my degree... sigh, the sacrafices we make

I would predict, at the latest, june of 2010, so about a year from now. I was HOPING to see it by the end of this year, but HTC wanted one more hit i guess. But seriously, the NVIDIA Tegra chip WILL take over. Someone told me that Steve-Freakin-Jobs wants to use NVIDIA too...

So all I know, is within a year or so, this sh*t is gunna be cranked up to 11!

For example, take a look at the Next Generation iPhone. It will set the bar once again. Not only are they releasing the 3.0 software in a couple of days which allows for cut/paste and practically everything we loved more about our WinMo phones (there's a pretty large list, search digg.com and you'll find it) but that next gen iphone will have not 1, not 2, not 3... but 4 (F-O-U-R) PROCESSORS!!!!

I can only imagine what HTC is going to do to step it up. We will be amazed. Period.
