and again, no excuse for the crappy usb headphone port. I understand that it is a "business phone" but if you can give the touch HD a 3.5mm port, then why are you ****ing potential future users of TD2, and TP2?

If you peel off the masks that Samsung and HTC have put on their newer WM phones, you still have the old, clunky, non-finger friendly interface. Your everyday average customer doesn't want to put as much time and effort into their phone as we do. People tend to not want to work that hard at making their phone work efficiently. I seriously doubt the Pre will be similar to the instinct. Palm has a long history in the smartphone/pda world. The problem they ran into is similar to what MS is doing now. It took them forever to overhaul their OS. With the amount of time and resources they have put into their new OS, I'm pretty confident it will be successful.

well put guys, i am so disappointed with 6.5 that im going to try something new till wm7 drops, i mean cmon guys we know this is a winmo forum but as a winmo forum nobody here can deny the huge flaws that winmo and htc brings

crappy chipset and gfx performance
no 3.5mm jack
resistive touchscreen only
by far the most outdated OS (Windows CE core still)
not finger friendly at all
without custom roms its practically worthless
at least 1 reset daily for optimized performance
..................

i have gone a long way to be able to cover up winmo and have it in tip top shape but is it too much to ask for a device that looks and performs well out of the box??? and the rest that you do to it is frosting on the cake

Palm and sprint depend on this device to bring their companies up and make some cash as well as gain their reputation back so i doubt that they cut corners with the pre and will make it the best overall device they can
