Re: Treo Pro or Palm Pre?

The web browser is similar to safari. It works well. You can browse youtube through the web browser or the included youtube app. Youtube videos are played through the youtube app.

Re: Treo Pro or Palm Pre?

Google maps is fast and the zoom feature is amazing. Latitude is lacking though for the Pre.

Re: Treo Pro or Palm Pre?

Dont forget that you will most likely need to change a plan for the palm pre....

But i would get the palm pre if i could.

Re: Treo Pro or Palm Pre?

Pre for sure!

Is anyone here thinkin what i'm thinkin? I really believe that the Treo Pro is old news and put on the backburner by Palm... updates are coming for the latest and greatest from now on.

I'd say go with the Palm Pre

Re: Replacing HTC touch pro with Palm Pre

I replaced my Pro with a Pre. 2 weeks later, I switched back. The Pre is nice and my wife still has one but there are 2 major deal killers for me:
1) No voice command
2) Bluetooth issues. With 3 different phones and 4 different headsets including a bluetooth built into my car, the calls get garbled on both ends of the conversation throughout the conversation. The garbling starts anywhere from 30 seconds to 4 minutes from the start of the call, lasts for about 20 seconds and clears up. This will repeat throughout the call at no certain interval.

Another minor issue that Im sure will get resolved soon; No Sirius Sat Radio app and it cannot stream from thier website.

What I do like about the Pre:
The feel and operability
Size/weight
Battery Life
OS stability

Calls drop more often on the Pre as well

Re: touch pro vs. palm pre

not to thread-jack, but you were offered a pre as a replacement for your tp, right? do you want that or something else?
