Understandable i have never owned a palm so I can not comment on thier quality. But I do believe that It is a new os you probably have not used. I don't know but i'm pretty sure the palm community is pretty robust, and would not have a problem developing a soft keyboard. (kind of like cupcake on android) and could maybe port opera mini, even though it sounds like its browser is really nice. and I think it looks good so far from the videos i have seen. And I highly doubt it will cost 650$

I dunno, it looks pretty damn slick guys and gals. Naturally final determination comes once its in hand. But if it delivers then i may be saying bye bye to the Diamond. I think the potential it has is huge. Not to mention everyone knew Palm was coming out with a new OS. They knew there was alot riding on its success. And i really believe they knew if they didnt hit a home run with the new OS out the door they were toast. So i actually have high expectations for it. And as previously said.......cmon someone in the third party community can get a soft keyboard made im sure.

Who needs Opera Mini when you have an honest-to-goodness Webkit browser?

Webkit is the same HTML engine at the core of Safari and Google Chrome.

The Palm Pre looks like it's going to be hands-down the best smartphone ever.

After watching the Youtube videos, I am VERY interested in that webOS it looks amazing!
