755p to HTC Touch Pro

I currently have the 755p from Sprint PCS, and I will be getting the HTC Touch Pro tomorrow afternoon, and I am wondering what is the easiest way to transfer my contacts and notes from the two phones.

Each phone has bluetooth, and can be synced with the desktop, but I didn't know if the file types were the same, if they were also mapped the same, ect.

If anybody has transferred their contacts and notes from a palm phone to a windows mobile device, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

That link has some info on the switch.

To sync the data between Palm and Outlook, you'll need the conduit: http://www.palm.com/us/support/outlooksupport.html

Then you can sync from Outlook to your WM PPC

Run the program, save the backup to a storage card if your current phone has one or to another location.
Put the old storage card in the new phone or copy the backup file to your new phone and run PPCPimBackup again, except choose to restore.
That won't work. He's coming from the 755p, which is Palm OS based

Export your contacts as an .csv file then import them into outlook.

Actually it will work for contacts, Chapura's PocketMirror. It will sync your palm contacts with outlook and then you can sync that up with active sync to your TP.

I was referring to PPCPimBackup not working on a Palm OS device.

Re: 755p to HTC Touch Pro

Syncing your Palm w/Outlook is definately the best and easiest way to do it. I have all the same info on my 755p and my Touch/Mogul/Touch Pro... all through outlook

Re: 755p to HTC Touch Pro

If you use exchange, as I do at work, you don't really need to do anything. Exchange already synchronizes with your Treo to keep a copy of your contacts, calendar, notes, tasks and emails. It does this wirelessly. Once I set up ActiveSync on the TP, the TP copied all of the PIM info wirelessly in about 2 minutes.
So, hopefully you use Exchange!
