1. Nope. Let's just say if someone wanted to steal my iPhone, they'd have to become intimately familiar with me, and that ain't gonna happen

Seriously, if someone leaves an iPhone laying around, I don't have too much sympathy if it gets stolen. And 9 times out of 10, with Sprint's insurance, you'd pay $50 for a refurbished phone - not a new one. Not to mention, has anyone ever done the math on the insurance? You essentially end up buying a new phone over the course of 2 years anyway! It would only provide a benefit near the front of your contract term if needed...
2. Audio quality is as good as it gets. Remember, the iPhone is also a full-fledged iPod, and Apple doesn't skimp on quality. Many reviews have commented on the audio quality and how it's even been improved in the 3G models. That said, I was blown away at how good the Touch Pro sounded as well!
3. Yes, there's an EQ included in the iPod software. Actually, it contains a handful of presets that are likely to cover most needs, but you can also create your own in iTunes and they will then show up on your iPhone. You also have features like Soundcheck, crossfade, etc.
4. Unfortunately, iPhone does not support stereo bluetooth. However, if you're concerned about audio quality, you're much better off just plugging in directly (any type of audio-over-wireless will be a compromise). A much better solution is a decent car kit that provides a drop-in cradle which is hard-wired to your car stereo (and of course also provides charging)...
Hope that helps!
