I'm thrilled I stayed with the Diamond and didnt wait for the Pro..... I don't use my phone for music.. so the internal storage is fine.... I would like the flash but don't miss tv out for nothing.. :)

See, I don't use mine for music at all, but I still have about 4.5GB taken up on my card with photos, some videos, TomTom maps, CABs, ROMs, etc. Plus it's much, much faster and more convenient to transfer files to the card than through the phone. Overall the ability to expand space and take the memory out is pretty vital to me.

As for keyboard, I'm a touch-typist by heart. Having to look at a keyboard to use it slows me down big time. I don't look at my Touch Pro's keyboard when I'm typing on it which allows me to go at a pretty good clip. I couldn't give that up. However if you're not a touch typist and you have to look anyway, I don't think the hardware keyboard gives you any real advantage, and the on-screen one is quicker to use with autocomplete and T9 functions, so I could see that being an advantage. Heck, I use it occasionally.

your right, managing memory is MUCH easier with removable storage. I prefer a physical Kb, but like i said, size is crucial for me. i owned a 6700, 6800, 6900, 700wx, and a curve, and i much prefer a hard kb. diamond is perfect for me though

I agree, the convenience of taking the storage card out is a plus as is the expansion for those who need it. For my b/f and I neither of us need it.. basically I wanted the smaller phone and learned to deal without hard keys (coming from 2yrs with a treo 700wx) he wanted the keyboard. Both phones do what we need them to do with the same edits/cabs/fixes/personalizations... I was tempted to load up the tom tom software but I have a tomtom portable in my car that I rarely use so its just not necessary to me. This is why the space isn't an issue for me. I guess each of us has that one thing we can't do without or would rather do without... that makes our choice.. could be surfgal doesn't need the space then she might be happier with the smaller (not much but yes it its smaller and lighter) choice.

I agree with everyone else regarding the devices. both are very good. I chose to stay with the Diamond as well. 4 gigs of storage is more than enough for me plus the compact querty is amazing on it. once you get the hang of it which was easy for me coming from a T-mobile shadow, it is as fast or faster than than a physical keyboard. Its all preference though and I do like the pro alot.

I think thats about it. Where do you surf?

Thanks for the comparison....surf at Malibu :)

You guys are great....I do like the compactness of the Diamond and it's ez to use......but I think I would miss out on the flash of the pro. I do use the camera alot...hmm....such decisions.....why couldn't they put a flash on the diamond.....come on HTC....lol

Looks like I should stay where I am at with my Touch Pro.....

Thanks again..
