Touch Pro or Touch Diamond

Hi there,
I am sure there is another thread on this but I just can't find it.

I have a Touch Pro which I like like but I find that I don't really use the slide out keyboard much due to my long finger nails....I know what an excuse ;)

Is the Touch Diamond the same phone without the slide out keyboard? I love using the screen keyboard....

Please help me make a decision....to keep it or get a Diamond.

Thanks

:)

Haven't used the Touch Diamond, but can't imagine not having the keyboard..Why don't you just cut your finger nails..just kidding. Remember you lose out on the keyboard and memory upgrade with the micoSD card on the Diamond. If 4GB is enough for you and you are 100% sure you won't use the keyboard then go for the Diamond. Personally I have always used hard keyboard phones....maybe you should consider a Treo 800w.

Diamond has no kb or microsd slot.

The difference in the Diamond and Pro:

- Diamond has 4gb of on board storage (not expandable, pro is)
- Diamond doesn't have a camera flash (pro does)
- Diamond doesn't have a physical keyboard

I think thats about it. Where do you surf?

Re: Touch Pro or Touch Diamond

diamond has a set memory which is 4gig which is good amount and it lacks a tv out and keyboard

pro has the slot to add more memory and the keyboard and tv out.

i think i said it all.

i have not gotten my pro yet still in the mail... i picked it over the diamond just because of the tv out anf beacuse its newer lol.

To be honest, we're on the Touch Pro board, so obviously we're a bit biased toward it. But it's been noted above, you lose the keyboard, flash, video out, and you trade the microSD slot for 4GB of built-in memory. If those issues don't concern you, some people seem REALLY, REALLY into how much thinner it is, to the point of calling the Touch Pro a brick and complaining heavily about how heavy it is in their pockets (I use the holster, so wouldn't notice). I think this is kind of extreme, as I've held one, and it's not a massive enough difference to be worth giving up all that, but to each their own.

I have the Diamond and my b/f has the Pro.... I'm the techie he's the "Hey babe can you make my phone do that...." guy. He's happy with his Pro, loves the keybaord.. I'm thrilled I stayed with the Diamond and didnt wait for the Pro..... I don't use my phone for music.. so the internal storage is fine.... I would like the flash but don't miss tv out for nothing.. :)

right. they are both amazing devices. Me personally, i love the size of the diamond. enough not to trade it for a pro just because of the size difference. Sure, i lose out on a flash, and expandable memory, and a keyboard, but i gain the slim profile. I bang out 5-6k text messages a month. and i have no problems with the full on screen qwerty that comes on the diamond, it rules. Would i like to have a physical keyboard? of course, but this one is a fine trade off to have such a small powerful phone.

ON the other hand, I work in a Sprint store, and most of the guys there prefer the Pro, and I have to admit, the chrome and gray look DAMN SWEET.

In the end, i hate to see this spiral into a heated debate like the Touch vs Mogul threads did, because both of the devices are simply amazing. Both have there respective pros and cons, but i dont think you can go wrong with either.
