Re: Defecting from PPC for Blackberry Storm??
Deffecting or deflecting?
I'm definitely interested in the Storm, but I doubt it will be good enough to get me away from WM

Re: Defecting from PPC for Blackberry Storm??
Ah, it could be either Defecting or Deflecting:
Defecting: To abandon a position or association, often to join an opposing group Deflecting: To turn aside or cause to turn aside; bend or deviate Well, BB has never really done it for me. I need more features |

Re: Defecting from PPC for Blackberry Storm??
I was a 3 year BB user before I came to the PPC world and have no desire to go back. The biggest plus for WinMo is it's ability to multitask. You will not see that w/ the BB OS. The other issue that BB devices have is that they depend on a 3rd party server to move their email. With WinMo, if I send you an email, it goes from me to you. With BB, it goes from me, to the RIM (BB's parent company) server, to you. While this may not seem like a big deal, recall the 2-3 major outages BB suffered this past year. At least one of those was world wide. The RIM server creates an additional, and in my mind unnecessary, hurdle to overcome when dealing w/ your email. It's difficult enough to deal with your own ISP or IT folks when you have an email issue, why throw another monkey wrench into the works?

Re: Defecting from PPC for Blackberry Storm??
A BB for a PPC? No way it's gonna happen. I have never liked BBs because of their devices lack of flexibility. Why I love my PPC? Lets see I can watch my cable T.V. thats in my bedroom from anywhere on the Planet. lets see what other reasons....oh there are none. Case closed...lol
