got a mogul... want a touch pro...

i've heard of people turning in their 6700 to get a free 6800...

can i do this with the touch pro?... i bought the mogul in august of 07. and since this phone will be out in october 09, can i walk into a sprint store and swap them out?...

if not... how much will i have to pay if i turn my mogul in with it?

no u can't just walk in and say here's my old phone can i have the new one..... (can you do that with you car!)

As far as turning in ur mogul you are looking at only getting about $30-50 of ur bill. Ur best bet is to just sell it on ebay... (And be for u as a stupid question like how much will i get for it on ebay how about u take a look for yourself)

hmm I talked to sprint and they will exchage my mogul for a touch pro as soon as its released.. told them abou some issues I been having and isntead of getting anotehr phone wtih more issues I wanted a touch pro and told me they would send me the phone once it came out and have my send my old one back to them. All they will chatge me is 75 dollars for the diffrence in price and I've had my mogul for about a year now?

not to mention that sprint has plenty of refurbished moguls waiting for you, i couldnt imagine the look on your face when they take your old mogul in for fixing and call you back for another 'new' mogul while people like me walk in and out of the store with a shiny new touch pro

I guess i have a question though for anyone who knows about sprint policy, i purchased the a900 june of 06 along with a new 2 year contract on sprint. in febuary 07, i had enough of random shut downs, sprint didnt offer me any discount but i went ahead and got the m1... i later went on to buy a mogul off of ebay. Long story short, 2 phones bought without sprint giving me any discount... if i resign my contract oct 19, will I be able to get that 299 price?

I think you should still be eligible for the $150 upgrade. Best way to check is on the Sprint website. Based on your story, if you never received a Sprint Upgrade rebate that locked you into a new 2 year agreement, that should still be available to you, which should allow you to get the full amount of rebates $399 up front ($150 instant rebate w/ 2 year commitment) w/ $100 MIR. Like I said though, you can check it through the Sprint website

Well unfortunatly, shoes and cars dont have total replacement insurance when the older model is lost or disco'ed. Sprint however does, and will probably be replacing moguls with touch pro's when the refurbs are gone.

So yeah you will be able to walk in with a mogul and out with a touch pro, but the year will be 2010

FYI - Touch Pro gets released next month (10/19/0, not 1 year and 1 month (10/19/09).

The things you've been reading about people getting Mogul replacements have only been from situations where they've had their 6700 for some time and by the time they had to go in to get it fixed, there were no more 6700's for replacement, so they got a Mogul instead.

That being said, if you got your Mogul in August last year (1 month after it had been released), you're probably eligible for a $75 upgrade (at least by the time the Touch Pro is released). Other than that, if you're not looking to spend money on a new phone...just save up until you can afford it or wait for the next upgrade.
