Re: Soooo undecided
I'm definitely having the same dilemma, and I think many of us are. The main snag for me is the lack of expansion possibilities on the Diamond. 4GB of built-in storage is nice, but without the option to add a microSD card for more storage... that's kind of scary. That's making me lean toward the Touch Pro, but I'm not sure.

Re: Soooo undecided
Cornelious2, that would assume that the diamond has USB host capability, it's enabled and HTC provided drivers. I would have to sa NAHHHHHHHH. Not going to happen.
Kevin. well, my touch has a 4gb microSD and it's not even 1/2 full of what I use it for. to me, it's NOT an mp3 player. I keep work documents, some reference materials, etc. It's a portable brain. so the extra built in 4gb would probably be fine. I would almost guarantee the built in 4gb has alot faster access time than microSD would too. I've gone thru that debate. It'll take backups a bit longer to run, but that's about it. Now I backup TO the SD, remove the SD and copy to my pc. |

Re: Soooo undecided
no2chem already was able to turn our ppc's into portable hard drives, I really don't see it being that far fetched. only time will tell.

Re: Soooo undecided
no2chem's trick was an old one that's been around forever. Nothing overly special about that. There's a difference that the PC already has the USB Host controller and drivers. Most PPC's and smartphones do NOT have the usb Host controller components. There has only been 1 or 2 PPC's released EVER that has had USB Host capability and those, it was mostly limited to HID type devices.
