I understand that the mogul is inherently a better device. my questions has to do with why can't the mogul or any other ppc perform at that speed.
i've read drivers, software/hardware integration, bloated wm6, what about cpu speed? how does the cpu match up?

Comparing CPU Speed would be like comparing CPU Speed on something running Windows 3.1 to Windows Vista. The Windows Vista machine might be running a 100X faster CPU at 1600 Mhz, but the Windows 3.1 would be more responsive at 16 Mhz (with 1/10 the RAM too).

I know this is blasphemy but IMO the Mogul isn't inherently better that the BB.
It really DEPENDS on what you are looking for. There is a REASON why BB are so popular among business professionals.... That is what it's designed to do and fast.

The Mogul is aimed really at a different crowd.

It's like comparing a sports car to a SUV. They are different types of vehicles aimed for different things.
