Re: PPC6800 vs tilt
well it has half the ram but there are many good roms available for it. i am not sure what you are wanting to use it for but i have had one for 8 months and i love it. i recently aquired a ppc-6900 and am in love with this phone like i was with my ppc-6800. all depends on what you wanna use it for.

Re: PPC6800 vs tilt
The 6900 is the Touch (aka Vogue). If you liked the form factor for the Tilt, I would recommend the 6800 as the 6900 has no slide-out keyboard. It may not seem like it from the specs (2MP camera vs. 3MP, half the RAM...) but it is a very close second. A co-worker of mine has the Tilt and I personally think it's a great device. I don't like the fact that the 6800 doesn't have a similar rubberized finish (even my Sprint Q had it...), but the Seidio case makes up for this. The image quality can be brought up to a comparable level once you install the CAB file that's floating around with the Touch's ported camera software (not sure about Alltel 6800 compatibility though). I haven't had many issues with the RAM. I get the occasional leak, but this has been less of an issue since I started using Oxios Hibernate to reclaim some memory. The Sprint 6800 doesn't have MMS capability out of the box, not sure about the Alltel, but sMMS is a good workaround.

That being said, the Mogul is still a very decent choice. One thing that probably is in the Moguls favor is the networks (Sprint, VZN, Alltell, etc) and the amount of customization you can do with the ROMs. |
