they both look pretty damn good .. epic night isnt so much as good but it dont look like the setting was made for a night time pic .. its amazing how epic settings for what type of pic u are taking is that much different in quality of pic

Actually the night shot is definitely better on the Epic..it is true that you can see more stuff in the EVO picture...but notice the weird unnatural brightness...also look at the closer lamp post one epic you can see the lens flare and light as it should be..on epic its completely bland with no light depth...

Whats happening is Epic is achieving closer blacks as EVO is trying to compensate visualization by highlighting everything..

Look at the mirror glass...notice in the epic the rim stays the same color in all the pics, on the night pic the rim completely changes color..not to mention the epic shows an actual reflection there..unlike the EVO which completely fails due to the highlighting.

On the other pics yes, EVO seems to have more detail..it may be due to he 3 mp or it may be due to Epic compressing the image. The colors though on EVO are WAY off though...

I think he's going to say that the EVO camera is better. I have seen several side-by-side comparisons like this and the Epic always comes out on top. Maybe D/\SH needs to take his Epic back to Sprint and get it swapped out for a new one.

The thing about the Epic is that the Camera app also compresses the photo..if you look at the file size most 5mp cameras photos are at least 25% larger..if you use another app for photos that does't do compression the quality is a lot better.

In the above pictures though seems like the EVO has a bit better detail..but at same time colors seem to be a little off...

hahah think you posted at xda as well and to all the above i think the epic is better... jsut look at the color quality and takre the compression into detail... remember higher megapixel doesnt mean better shots.. even in the camcorder feature the epic has higher quality and i think that many will agree.

i like my epic photos plus the phone better than evo but from those pictures its not as clear cut as your post seems to state but i agree. your work place looks shady all by itself. lol

hahaha how does it look shady? the hospital isnt 3 years old even and its in the top 5 hoispitals in the country partly because it is damn near fully green and eco-system freindly... its a samn nice place, google it. (Metro Heath Hospital, Wyoming , Michigan)
