From what I read the Galaxy S in the USA are a bit sturdier then the international ones according to the reviews...but this is for the Captive and Vibrant..we will see how the epic 4g comes out...

As for the lag, some are saying new firmware updates fixed most of it if not all...

Now for GPS...Ive heard some lock issues with using Google Maps but 3rd party navigation tools seem to lock ok...so my guess it is a software issue :/

Go with the Samsung Galaxy, it has the better iphone processor and its not made by the crappy company called HTC. As long as you stay away from HTC and their junk, you'll be fine.

Its not an iphone processor..its a samsung processor...which iphones have been using samsung processors for a while...

It is not designed by Apple...It was made by samsung, and samsung paid intrisity to do some customizations to the A8 core to make it better. It is still owned by samsung though and every A4 chip has to pay Samsung licensing fees...of course apple still owns some of the licenses from intrisity.
