Re: How many switced from TP2 for EVO?

Just made the switch today. I appreciate all the work the chefs did to help keep a fragmented system (WM) going.

Re: How many switced from TP2 for EVO?

I switched, well I still actually have my tp2 on sero and my evo on my eprp on the same account. If you get a family plan you can actually get the evo down to sero prices if you have enough people.

All in all I love the new phone. Looks a lot better and much more powerful. I wouldn't ever downgrade back to the TP2 again =)

Re: How many switced from TP2 for EVO?

I switched and though it would have been nice to keep my $30 a month SERO,the only thing I've really missed is S2w's "Dark" themes. I really need a Dark Glass clock, widgets etc. I'm waiting to see 2.2 before I root because I actually like Sense on the Evo.

Re: How many switced from TP2 for EVO?

I switched From the TP1, to the TP2 and now the EVO and the EVO is alot smoother. The web browsing on the EVO is faster than the TP2 even on 3g.

I dont get the hangups and screen freezez that i use to get on the TP2. The EVO can have several applications running at the same time and I dont notice a decrease in speed, whereas on the TP2, i was constantly using the HTC cleaner to free up memory. Camera is better on the EVO, and apps seem to be better.

Im sure alot of this is due to the faster processor on the EVO, but I like the EVO better.

Re: How many switced from TP2 for EVO?

I also migrated from TP2. Luv the Evo and its just so much easier to use thanks to its speed. I do not miss the crashes and lagginess of the TP2. I am suffering flashing withdrawl though since I used to throw new roms on it often(currently its on Mighty Rom).
There has been no need for me to even think about modifying my Evo yet.
I would love to see a Touch Pro 3 with windows 7 provided its well executed and fast. Hey I need something to play with on my other line....

I personally switched over to the iphone because I got burned out of the constant rom changes and almost daily resets with WM phones.

8 months with TP2 (mightyrom) vs. 10 days with EVO.

Evo makes the TP2 (and Android makes WM 6.x) its bitch.

Re: How many switced from TP2 for EVO?

I am still trying. I am on a special plan grandfathered from an employee plan for $30 +7 for the contract. I Ok'd the $10.00 = 47.00. They want $100.00 +- to connect the EVO.. Not Me For that $$ they will need to have a support person ( Like there is such a thing) follow me around..

I switched, dumped sero. I love my evo but I do miss my TP2 keyboard. I am getting better at the evo keyboard though.

Re: How many switced from TP2 for EVO?

I switched from SERO, and after the Evo (Android), I cant believe I wasted my time with WinMo. I havent been so happy with a Mobile OS since PalmOS in its hayday.
