Re: TP2, Hero, Moment, or Pre? Which to get

Pre is rolck solid. Like 33 above I've only futzed around with the Hero at the Sprint Store.

WebOS on the Pre is so slick. I grew way tired of Windows Mobile. Everything about WebOS is so elegant and simple. It runs without hitches and is extremely customizable.

WebOS does not crash and your phone does not have to be soft-reset as often as with WM. In fact the only time I reboot is when I install a tweak or patch and a reboot is required. It just doesn't freeze up or get sluggish like WM.

late,
Coz

Re: TP2, Hero, Moment, or Pre? Which to get

also, just remember, if you're on SERO like many people, you won't be able to get the Hero, Moment, or Pre and still keep your account.

that might determine what phone you have to go with.

Excellent point...sometimes you have to match the phone to your carrier/plan.

Re: choise of TP 2, Hero, Moment or Pre which to choose?

I wound up getting the Hero... I had them both in my hands and the Hero just felt so much better...

Again, this is for my girl... Had it been for me, I might not have made the same decision... Well, it would have been a much tougher decision to make...

Re: TP2, Hero, Moment, or Pre? Which to get

I've had all the choices you have and I still love my hero more than all those phones. THe moment had too many glitches and really unpolished. The pre was nice but lacked in many ways (unless you want to apply patches all the time) Don't forget that it is hard to find a pre without build quality issues. The tp2 is really bulky and lacks a Dpad and that makes it tough coming from the TP. The tp2 is built like a rock though. Real good build quality.

I like the tp2 and the hero the best.

Re: choise of TP 2, Hero, Moment or Pre which to choose?

TP2 all the way, if you've had a TP1 you will hate the pre, its kind of a dumb down smart phone IMO. But ifyour looking between the Hero an the Moment I would go with the moment, the keyboard isn't as good as the TP1 or TP2 but it does have a slide out keyboard witch the hero doesn't. Other then that their really close to the same phone from what I've seen. But I didn't spend a huge amount of time with them so the ppl in the Hero or Moment fourms might give you better info.

Re: choise of TP 2, Hero, Moment or Pre which to choose?

I had a Pre and went from it to a Touch Pro2. The TP2 is FAR superior to the Pre. For instance, I went with the Pre because of the Palm Profile and backing everything up with it.

But, the problem is that the Palm Profile is broken. I had to go through 4 different Palm Pres that had hardware failures. The Profile switch worked on the first 2 phones, but the 3rd and 4th phones were terrible. The Palm Profile lost all my data. I had 2 contacts left out of my 80+ contacts. It took 4 trips to the Sprint store and 4 hours on the phone to finally get rid of that piece of junk known as the "Palm Pre"

So the TP2 is what you want between those 2. The Pre simply sucks.

Re: choise of TP 2, Hero, Moment or Pre which to choose?

I have both. My Hero gets neglected like a red-headed stepchild.

I love my TP2. WinMo is still presently 'better'/more useful than Android, IMO.
