Ring tone for text

Is there anyway to assign a ring tone for texting?
Like my girfriend has her on ring tone that works when she calls but it's the generic tone for when she text me.

You mean you like to have a specific text ringer for each contact or just one ringer for all the contacts?

OK.....that didn't go so well. i tried the 10 day trial that is supposed to be fully functional and it sux pretty bad. no instructions available that i could find.

once i set it up i still got the generic tone for sms/text message then that program kicks on....reminds me that it is a trial program gives an angry beep then plays my chosen ringtone for that contact. kinda retarded in my opinion.

This seems way too complicated to fix what seems to be a small challenge. But i don't have a lot of knowledge so i could be waaaaay wrong about this.

Surely i'm not the only one that has wanted to know who was texting me without having to look at my phone....
