new treo pro user with a couple of questions.

i just got a treo pro. up from the 800w.
it wasnt my choice, but i took it.
i had a problem with my 800w went to sprint and they told me they would send a new phone to my house, it never came. so i went in to ask, and they gave me a treo pro.

damn this phone is sexy. i like the way it feels. but i really want a pre. ill get one still, but i still need to use this phone until i get my pre.


my questions should be answered fairly easily.

why does windows mobile suck so effing bad?

and can i use the same registry tweaks on the pro as i did the 800w?

Windows mobile is fine, as long as you know how to use it. If you hate it so much, then just stick it out until you get your pre and then sell the pro. I personally prefer windows mobile over palm, blackberry, symbian and apple. It does more and is very, very customizable. The pre will be a great phone, but i'm not ditching my windows mobile either. I'll have both and switch between the 2, depending on what i feel like using.

I believe you should be able to use the tweaks from the 800w, check the sticky at the top of this forum. Lots of registry stuff there.

well, i dont HATE windows mobile. i've tried customizing my 800w. and it just didnt flow very naturally. know what i mean? i kept things pretty simple on it. i wont sell my pro. ill give it to my wife if i end up loving the pre. she can use an upgrade.

i tried some of the tweaks from the 800w. the sms tweak, the internet sharing tweak. the registry is different. ill search some more on here for tweaks on the treo pro.
