Treo Pro Touch Keyboard and Mobile Shell Question

I just ordered my son the Treo Pro...nice deal online with Alltel. Yes...I know it has the full keyboard, but my son is not impressed with the basic touch keyboard it has.

First question: have any of you downloaded keyboards such as the Diamond KB?

Second Question: Have any of you downloaded Mobile Shell 2 or 3 to work with the Pro and how is the interface with the square screen?

Are you talking about a Treo Pro (this forum) or a Touch Pro (different forum)?

Can I ask why is he using a touchscreen keyboard when the device has a front-facing hardware keyboard?

I'm using MS3 and it works well with the square screen.

I have no idea...perhaps he is used to his cell-phone keyboard and wants something to mimic it. I just want to give him options.

using any kind of on-screen keyboard on the pro is gonna be diffcult.
The screen is small and the keyboard eats up alot of space, plus the touchscreen isnt sensitive or comfortable enough to use an on-screen keyboard with your fingers, he's gonna have to use a stylus at best or deal with the physical keys.
honestly the keyboard is awesome and easy to get used to.
even if he tries out the touchscreen he's probably gonna end up using the keyboard anyway, it's that much more comfortable.

Screen sensitivity can be adjusted through the registry.

I tried the manila2d port for the Treo Pro... and while it was plenty functional, the smaller size made it less fingerable. Now I got SPB mobile shell 3 and its quite awesome. The perfect size and works great.
