Unfortunately not, you have to dig pretty far down to be able to take the front plate off. Sorry.

You have to get a faceplate from Ebay, but replacing it will require removing the screws and the warranty sticker.

To the OP, I have confirmed that the camera can come off. If you remove the metal cover on it, the camera is connected via ribbon cable. Don't know if your work would be OK with the lens being on the back cover...
