Re: Soft Buttons on Homescreen?
SKtools will allow you to change the soft keys. A must have program for any PPC owner.

Re: Soft Buttons on Homescreen?
u can also change them in the registry if u r handy with that, the path is HKCU\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\TODAY\KEYS
there r 2 folders under that, 112 is for the left soft key and 113 for the right. you can rename them and change the program path.

Re: Soft Buttons on Homescreen?
Sounds good - I'm fine w/ doing that too.
The 800w just had this really nice "Menu" softkey on the right. Gave you instant access to preferences, wireless controls, all that fun stuff. Not sure if I'll be able to recreate that entire nested menu structure but it's worth looking into. |

Re: Soft Buttons on Homescreen?
Weird. The Treo Pro has those keys but the 800 doesn't. Palm must have put something custom in to get that menu on the today screen. Dangit...I really liked that menu.

Re: Soft Buttons on Homescreen?
I ended up not using it as I had to buy it. I just dug through the registry.
Can't get the menus I wanted anyway, they were custom cooked up by Palm on the 800. |

Just wait for Handango to offer a discount and pick it up then. It is worth every penny. What were those buttons on the 800w linked too? |
