Re: can we get a verification WMWIFIROUTER works on pro?
umm how is that?? wmwifrouter still uses ICS, which uses data, its just like tethering. It just turns it into a wireless signal to broadcast

No matter what plan you have there is a cap of 5GB. I don't know if Sprint is actually doing anything about it if you go over though. I've gone over several times and I haven't heard about anyone getting charged for overages.

Re: can we get a verification WMWIFIROUTER works on pro?
I have the unlimited data plan on my wife's phone and just installed WMWIFIROUTER. Not understanding the above posts. Has anyone been charged for using this? Is there a registry hack that needs to be performed on my wife's treo pro.
Thanks |

Re: can we get a verification WMWIFIROUTER works on pro?
I'm using the newest version (1.35) with no issues. So far so good. I just purchased the Pro yesterday, so I can't confirm or deny battery usage/drain while running the program. I did however use it often with my Touch Pro and was never charged for overages in my data plan.
If there is a 5GB cap (not saying there isn't), does it matter whether it's reached through tethering through a cable rather than a wireless application? 5GB is 5GB regardless. Am I missing something?

I love Wmwifirouter. In fact, I think it is better than PDAnet. It doesnt need to have anything install on your laptop, only have Activesync.
It I have to hook it up all day, I use it thru USB. It I use it for 1 hr, then I use it wireless. It gets HOT when it run wireless, just a little warm when running from USB. |

Re: can we get a verification WMWIFIROUTER works on pro?
You keep asking that and
1) the few users that have stated they've used it on the Treo Pro have not stated they've had to do any registry hacks. 2) the above was found with just a few minutes of browsing around this forum...
