Treo Pro will not sync after upgrade to WM 6.5 from WM 6.1

We upgraded 2 Palm Treo Pros to Windows Mobile 6.5 from Windows Mobile 6.1, now neither device will sync with Windows Mobile Device center on our Vista Machine or with Active Sync on our XP Professional Machine.
Prior to the unlock and upgrade we had NO ISSUES WHATSOEVER with synchronization to either machine. We have changed ports by unplugging and replugging also have tried bluetooth connections etc..still no sync.
Both computers see the device plugged in but Windows Mobile Device Center and Active Sync will not accept them for synchronization.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
