Palm Treo Pro GPS issues

I am having an odd issue with my gps not working correctly. Any gps software will get a sat lock, and then about 30sec later the unit will freeze or reboot. I had an issue like this once before, and it was believed to be caused by bad data from htc quick gps.

I have tried reloading the rom from stock to raiderrom, and refreshing the quick gps data with no change.

Anyone else seeing this over the last few days, or have any good ideas on how to fix it?

Well after a week quickgps seems to have gotten new good data. All is working correctly again. I wish there was someway to clear bad data when it comes in. If anyone knows please do tell.

me too..running a raider rom.. the same quickgps fiasco as in 2010?

it fixed itself.

Down load the latest xtra.bin wo \windows and \temp using quickgpslite and you should be good to go

AVD - Glad it is working for you. I am still having the same problem after downloading the new xtra.bin file.

Just to help clarify. I have no trouble getting a GPS lock. However, as soon as I get a GPS lock, the GPS freezes. The UTC clock stops. The position does not change from where I got a lock. Google Maps goes from 8 satellites to 0 satellites. And I cannot get a lock again until I do a soft reset. After doing a soft reset, I can always get one, and only one, GPS lock and then the GPS freezes again. The GPS is obviously working, but something is causing it to freeze. That sound like a software problem.
