Is that possible to use that in NY and NJ areas with metro pcs? Actually, I went to the store, and was told that I can't use my pro even if I unlock it.

You can use your CDMA phone on any carrier that allows that frequency, if its unlocked. But you can use it anywhere you like with the same provider...
